"Hook's Playful Plant!" is the second season and the first segment of the twenty-eighth episode in Jake and the Never Land Pirates. It is the fifty-third episode in the series overall.

Plot[]
On the Jolly Roger, Mr. Smee tells Sharky and Bones where the aroma he is smelling is coming from. Captain Hook arrives with the cologne given to him by Red Jessica, who is visiting today. He then orders his crew to get to work, as the Jolly Roger needs to be shipshape for Red Jessica. Captain Hook then notices that his plant is starting to wilt, and spruces it up so that it grows. Eventually, the plant overgrows and likes Mr. Smee, Captain Hook, Sharky, Bones, and even the Jolly Roger.
Meanwhile, Jake and his crew are sailing on Bucky when Skully informs them of an enormous tree, which isn't on Cubby's map. They decide to investigate the strange new island. Once there, Cubby observes that it looks like a giant plant. Captain Hook appears, asking for their help and explaining what the plant has done to the Jolly Roger and his crew. Jake and his crew agree to help, using wooden pins to create a ladder between the plant's stems so they can climb up, earning three gold doubloons. The plant then tickles them, lifting them higher, and they slide back to the Jolly Roger by swinging down the vines like ropes, earning three more gold doubloons.
With Captain Hook's crew still caught by the plant, Jake and his crew hide inside barrels and scoot along so they don't get caught. The plant then catches the barrels before catching the crew. Red Jessica then arrives, and Jake and Mr. Smee tell her about the problem regarding the plant. Red Jessica knows about the cologne and what it can do to a plant. Izzy uses her Pixie Dust for Red Jessica to get up to the flowers. Once there, she warns Captain Hook never to spray Eau de Rose on any plant, explaining how potent it is. The plant simply needs to know that the crews love it, and they need to sing a love song to demonstrate this. After they sing, the plant releases them, earning them three more gold doubloons. It then shrinks back to its original size, returning the Jolly Roger to the Never Sea. Captain Hook attempts to throw the plant overboard, but Red Jessica intervenes, calling it a wonderful specimen. After Mr. Smee seconds this, Captain Hook gives the plant to her as a gift. She kisses him, causing him to faint and be caught by Mr. Smee.
Back on Pirate Island, Jake and his crew put the gold doubloons they collected into their Team Treasure Chest. Jake then smells something, which Cubby reveals to be his Eau de Coconut, attracting a monkey. Meanwhile, Red Jessica waves goodbye to Captain Hook, who accidentally sprays a plant with the cologne, causing it to grow and eat part of the Jolly Roger.
